SES Ltd was set up by Del
Hall and Pete Hughes.Del and Pete
began their careers in the Royal Air Force in the early 70's and became
specialists in Survival Equipment. (Survival Equipment Fitters) Both Del and
Pete have repacked countless numbers of parachutes, liferafts,Lifejackets and
fitted hundreds of aircrew with helmets and personal flying clothing to fast jet
and helicopter pilots both at home and abroad over the past 25 years.
On leaving the military Del and Pete
worked for various survival related companies before setting up a base in the
west country.
Our main business was servicing and
repacking ejection seat parachutes and PSP's (Personal Survival Packs - contains
a self inflating liferaft and survival aids).
During this time SES has been
responsible for servicing survival equipment on various ex-military jets
including : Hawker Hunters, Folland Gnat, BAC Lightning & Buccaneer (in South
Africa) Jet Provost, BAC Strikemaster, Meteor, Venom, Vampire, as well as
eastern block aircraft : Mig, L29 and L39.
As well as fast jet we have been
extensively involved with vintage piston aircraft including the Tiger Moth,
Chipmunk, Bulldog and various warbird aircraft.
During the 90's many more private pilots
and syndicates were purchasing ex-military aircraft and were faced with the
problem of where to go for servicing of the crucial and specialised survival
equipment found in these aircrafts. To meet this demand Del and Pete decided in
1998 to set up Survival Equipment Services Ltd (SES) a company to supply
equipment to the ever growing number of private jet operators in the UK and
abroad.

SES initially set up premises at Kemble
airfield. Due to Del and Pete's enormous experienced gained Martin Baker
approval and became an ISO 9002 company as well as being accepted as members of
SAFE (Europe), over the following years as work increased we needed to expand,
so SES re-located to our present premises in Chelworth, Wiltshire.
As their reputation grew, SES was
commissioned to various bespoke works such as complete rebuilds of vintage
equipment.
SES now undertakes major servicing on
almost every privately owned ex-military jet in the UK, Europe and many overseas
customers in America, Canada, South Africa and Switzerland.
Del and Pete are committed to providing
first class equipment, sales and servicing. Survival equipment is highly
specialised and must be serviced by professionals. If ever a pilot or passenger
needs to use their equipment in an emergency it must work first time every time.
There is NO second chance.
Peace of mind means being able to rely
on equipment and knowing the professionals look after it with years of military
and civil experience and with a UK and Worldwide reputation.
This is SES in a nut shell - safety is
the number 1 priority.
